In 2020 I put Pella simulated light architectural series windows in my 6800 square foot house. Paid a fortune,
The large plate glass windows leek like sives even though I paid Pella a few years ago to reseat them.
About 50%of the casement windows completely rotted out. (9 windows). I personally rebuilt these windows. Two of the doors are also rotting out.
The windows are made of pine with aluminum cladding.
When they built the windows they put the aluminum cladding on without priming them at all. So when the cladding leaks it traps the moisture and the window rots.
One of the traditional windows just completely rotted out. I took the sister window and all the paperwork from 20 years ago to the Newington Pella Store. The woman there (name withheld) measured the window collected the
$350 (for just half the window note).
Said she would call me when it came in 2-3 weeks. 4 weeks passed, no call.
So I called them and they said yes it had come in last week. So I went to the store to pick up the window. Now keep in mind I had brought in the exact window I needed when I ordered it.
It was the wrong window, the woman said it was to bad cause I had signed the paperwork she had put together.
I told her I was going to talk to management and try and get her fired.
Today the police came and told me she had called the police and made it illegal for me to go there again.
DO NOT BUY THESE WINDOWS THEY SUCK. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.
Monetary Loss: $25.
Pella Cons: Windows rot.
