New ReviewerWe built a new house with Pella Windows because they were Al clad and had a good reputation (!) There is a fundamental design flaw with the casement windows in that they leak around the crank. Not right away, but after a few Arizona summers, the gasket shrinks and lets water down between the studs.
Even a new Pella gasket will not fix the problem completely. Only after I installed additional weather stripping material, was I able to correct the problem which caused $4,000 in damage to the house.
Now about their warranty. After five years one of the windows warped. I called Pella.
They sent out a service representative who looked at it and said "Yep, it's warped, and here is a service bill for coming out."
What kind of warranty is this? They did order a new window and when it came in they called. I could pick it up myself or, you guessed it, another service charge.
It wasn't primed for paint, but, guess what?, another service charge. I installed the bloody window myself (no service charge).
