I replaced every window and screen in my house with Pella products to the tune of almost $70,000 ten years ago. Recently a lawnmower threw a rock and broke one of the windows.

I called Pella to have someone come out to replace the window. I was told I would have to pay $125 for someone to come out, then purchase the window plus pay for installation. I am not OK with paying $125 for someone to come out to tell me how much more I can spend. I am fine purchasing the replacement window and paying for the installation.

Why not deduct the $125 from the purchase price? This seems like a money making scheme to take advantage of the customer.

Just don' buy Pella

Maybe call them back with the dimensions and ask how much to purchase and have installed, then go with that price. Or get the cost of just the window and have someone else do the install though i doubt they allow they, with some mumbo-jumbo like "it voids warranty" crap.

Hence why I would never buy pella.
