Last year had a beautiful sliding glass door selected for installation. We received a subpar door with mismatched wood frame.
Installers removed old door and had to beat the new door into the frame. It was not leveled and it became damaged during installation. Gentleman came and recognized issues right away and ordered a new door. Another 6 weeks wait time and new door installed with no issues.
Fast forward to this year, we decided to give Pella another chance. Ordered a large bay window and two other windows. Finally had install in early June. Wish I could say it went well, but no.
There are nails coming up through the seat of the bay, corners of bay window frame are all scratched, used shims on the outside of bay and they are visible. The 2nd window was installed with damage done by installers, screens are too small for the windows, wood was damaged by windowsill and installer just covered it up with caulking and the trim across the top was filled in with wood filler. The 3rd window came flawed and the miter joints are all over the place. Nowhere near the corners of the window.
The salesman showed up on 2nd day of install and was informed of most of the issues. He took photos and sent email saying these were cosmetic issues in nature and Pella would make a monetary adjustment. Still waiting to hear about that.
Another rep from Pella came to check work and took photos and told me what they were going to do to make it right. Well, still waiting for that to happen also.
