I've installed Pella products for 30 years , almost lost friends arguing they are the best by far , but NO more, "they" make the mistake but takes 6 weeks to amend , I,m a contractor and see an unbelievable amount of rotting windows only a short few years old , the salesman in Whitehall Pa ( Bernie ) doesn't have a clue , I know he doesn't make the window but he screws up orders and can't follow threw when there is a problem ,I feel so bad for... With a home that is only 15 years old, I'm disappointed that well over half my windows rotted. Pella provided a paltry 30% discount on replacements. Then with two large windows partially installed, the contractor realized that the "fins" were missing. It has taken six weeks to get these parts, and that was only after a call to corporate customer service. They refer everything to their dealers, so it is just a game of we can't do anything--it is... Pella Doors of Whitehall PA does not stand behind their work. They ordered the wrong sized jams for our doors, even after they came out to our home to "verify measurements" before ordering. Now that the doors are installed and the jams are to narrow to cover the wall opening, the salesman and company representatives are basically saying, you are stuck with their mistake. The only solution they are willing to do is add covers of aluminum to hide... Read more

We purchased 9 Pella designer series with roll down screens and blinds between windows. 24,000 dollar Windows from a big box store. We had to reorder Windows 2 times and still they are not what we ordered. We went by the display in store and pellas color chart in store. Biggest mistake you can make with pella. We even had a Pella rep out to our home and he sure had a large selection of color charts. If customers was offered this chart in stores... Read more

I have Pella sliding glass doors. About three years ago they started rotting at the frame. It started as a " tumor" and just continued to worsen. Since then I e learned there was a lawsuit and a recall for this exact thing. I missed the recall and am being told " too bad". I'm so unhappy. While I would recommend and use them all the time if they would honor their knowledge that these doors should be replaced Read more

I purchased a beautiful oval rose pattern stained glass door several years ago. The "stained glass" is actually pealing off!!! I really loved the door and it added so much beautiful curb appeal to our home, but this is so disappointing, not only for looks, but the door was very expensive. I would like it replaced Is there any kind of warranty for this, I thought by the price that it would be a high quality product. I have noticed that is no... Read more

I purchased pella windows, 750 series? with the blinds inside, and they have been nothing but trouble since installed over 1 1/2 years ago. They are very hard to open and lock. I think that one of the features of windows should be open and close. They will open but it takes up to #50 lbs of resistance to open them. Pella has no issue with them, nor does Lowes who installed them... frustrated and still waiting for the correction... Read more

Pella - Rotted Doors
1 of 8

I have six different Pella Designer Series doors that are rotted out at the bottom. The corner clips holding the trim on the outside of the doors along with the trim loosened over time. Pella knew this was an issue and came out after 9 years and replace them free of charge... but the damage had been done and a year or two later they started showing. Pella refuses to do anything to cover these door or give any type of discount on replacing them.... Read more

I bought Pella windows in 1995. Needed simple replacements, three screens and two interior window frames. Tried to order twice directly from the store starting in 2012. No confirmation or anything. Also spent over $12000 on 3 new $2600 doors each with lifetime warranty and a double hung window February 2013. Having a problem with weather stripping on the doors. Unable to contact anyone in service and are not returning my calls. May have... Read more
